While you may get to see the Mercedes-Benz McLaren SLR Stirling Moss in Detroit next month at the 2009 NAIAS, none of the 75 units of the special-edition McLaren SLR will make it to the U.S. when it goes on sale next year.
Mercedes-Benz has decided to sell the car exclusively in Europe with a price tag of $1.04 million. All 75 units will enter production in June 2009, after the regular SLR ends its production in May.
The Mercedes-Benz McLaren SLR Stirling Moss is powered by a 5.4L V8 Supercharged engine that makes a total of 650-hp. 0 to 62 mph comes in 3.5 seconds with a top speed of 217 mph.
